Water Filtration Systems
Clear, safe water — the right filter for every industrial application.
Essential First Step in Water Purification
Filtration is the critical first line of defense in any industrial water treatment system. By physical and chemical interception, it protects expensive downstream equipment — such as reverse osmosis membranes, ion exchange resins, boilers, and heat exchangers — from clogging, fouling, and early degradation.
Our systems efficiently remove suspended solids, turbidity, sand, rust, chlorine, chemical odors, and organic contamination. As a licensed Thermax Channel Associate, Hydrocare Engineers supplies, erects, and commissions the entire Thermax portfolio of high-performance industrial pressure filters across South Gujarat.
Thermax Filter Portfolio
We build and commission four primary classes of industrial pressure filters — including advanced membrane systems — to meet your specific feed water constraints.
Multi-Grade Filter (MGF) /
Pressure Sand Filter (PSF)
The core workhorse of water treatment. Engineered with graded layers of high-purity silica sand and pebbles of varying sizes. Designed to trap and filter suspended solids, silt, micro-debris, and turbidity down to fine limits.
- Capacity: 1 m³/hr to 200 m³/hr per unit
- Filter Media: Graded silica sand with gravel support
- Operation: Manual or automatic (differential pressure/timer backwash)
- Applications: Pre-RO feed clarification, softener/DM plant protection
Activated Carbon
Filter (ACF)
Mainly utilized to remove organic pollutants, free chlorine, color compounds, odor, and volatile trace compounds. Essential before RO membranes to prevent chlorine-induced oxidation, which permanently destroys polyamide membranes.
- Capacity: 1 m³/hr to 200 m³/hr
- Filter Media: Coconut shell or coal-based activated carbon
- Operation: Multi-port or butterfly valve, manual/auto backwash
- Applications: Pre-RO dechlorination, potable supply, post-treatment polishing
Iron Removal
Filter (IRF)
Designed to address groundwater and deep bore well sources containing dissolved or oxidized iron and manganese. Left untreated, iron causes heavy pipeline staining, process fouling, and irreversible contamination of softeners.
- Capacity: Configured to feed water ppm levels
- Process: Pre-aeration or chemical oxidation + catalytic filtration
- Operation: Backwash-enabled manual/automatic control skids
- Applications: Bore well pre-treatment, process cooling tower makeup
Ultra-Filtration
(UF) Plants
Advanced hollow-fibre membrane technology delivering chemical-free removal of bacteria, viruses, colloids, and suspended solids. Produces consistent, high-purity filtrate regardless of raw water turbidity variations — ideal as RO pre-treatment or ETP tertiary polishing.
- Capacity: 4.5 m³/hr to 100 m³/hr
- Membrane Pore: 0.01 – 0.1 micron hollow-fibre / tubular
- Operation: Low pressure (1–3 bar), automated CIP & backwash cycles
- Applications: RO pre-treatment, ETP tertiary reuse, potable water
