Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants

High-purity water for demanding industrial applications — engineered by Thermax, commissioned by Hydrocare.

Advanced Membrane Technology

Producing High-Quality, Salt-Free Water

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the most widely used membrane technology for producing high-purity, dissolved-salt-free water. It is capable of treating feed water sources ranging from municipal supply to highly mineralized bore well water.

As a trusted Thermax Channel Associate, Hydrocare Engineers designs, supplies, erects, and commissions robust Thermax RO systems across South Gujarat. Our solutions are backed by genuine Thermax spares, membrane supply, and expert after-sales support to keep your operations running continuously.

How It Works

Understanding the technology behind high-purity water production.

Pre-treated feed water is pressurized and forced through semi-permeable membranes. The membranes reject 95–99% of dissolved salts, bacteria, viruses, and organic matter — producing high-purity permeate for industrial or potable use, with a concentrate stream for disposal or further treatment.
01

Pressurization

Pre-treated feed water enters the system and is pressurized by high-pressure pumps.

02

Membrane Entry

The pressurized water is forced into the spiral-wound semi-permeable membrane modules.

03

Salt Rejection

Membrane barriers block 95-99% of dissolved solids, organic compounds, and microorganisms.

04

Permeate Outlet

Pure water (permeate) flows through the core tube to storage tanks for process or utility use.

05

Concentrate Discharge

The rejected concentrated brine stream is discharged or sent to wastewater recovery units.

System Configuration & Treatment Stages

Multi-stage Treatment
Stage Treatment Stage Technical Purpose
Stage 1 Pre-filtration (PSF / ACF) Removes suspended solids, sediment, turbidity, and free chlorine to protect RO membranes from physical fouling and chemical degradation.
Stage 2 Antiscalant Dosing Injects specialized scale inhibitors to prevent hardness scale (calcium, magnesium) from precipitation and scaling on the membrane surfaces.
Stage 3 High Pressure Pump Elevates the pressure of the pre-treated water to overcome naturally occurring osmotic pressure, driving water molecules through the membrane.
Stage 4 RO Membrane Array The core of the system. Accomplishes 95–99% total dissolved solids (TDS) reduction, removing heavy metals, bacteria, and complex molecules.
Stage 5 Post-treatment (Optional) Custom pH correction, UV sterilization, de-mineralization, or carbon polishing to meet exact client requirements and process water standards.

Key Features

Thermax RO Systems are built with premium materials and intelligent controls for reliable performance.

Automatic Controls

Microprocessor-based control panels automate the startup, production, flushing, and safety shutdown cycles, requiring minimal manual oversight.

Clean-In-Place (CIP)

An integrated Clean-In-Place (CIP) provision allows operators to perform routine membrane chemical cleanings easily, restoring flux and extending lifetime.

High Recovery Design

Advanced engineering and membrane configuration enable optimal water recovery rates of up to 75%, significantly minimizing raw water intake and waste.

FRP or SS Vessels

Equipped with premium quality Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) or rugged Stainless Steel (SS) pressure vessels designed to withstand high working pressures.

Automatic Flushing

The system automatically flushes the membrane surfaces with clean permeate water during shutdown, clearing high-concentration brine and scale deposits.

Optional Remote Monitoring

Integrates with SCADA and smart IoT dashboards for remote monitoring of flow rates, pressure readings, water conductivity, and alarm indicators.
