Demineralisation (DM) Plants

How It Works

Two-bed demineralisation plants utilize a strong acid cation exchange resin (H+ form) to remove all metal cations, converting salts to corresponding mineral acids. Water then passes through a base anion exchange resin (OH- form) to adsorb those mineral acids, leaving completely demineralised pure water. Mixed Bed (MB) polishing systems mix both resins in a single vessel to polish water to near-theoretical purity.
